About Limehouse Project

Introduction

Limehouse Project is a community centre in East London. The organisation was established in 1981 and offers a variety of services including access to free advice services on welfare issues, debt, domestic violence etc. The Training and Development Programme supports local people into education, training and employment, with a special emphasis on supporting those  socially excluded from mainstream services or those currently economically inactive.

Mission

The purpose of Limehouse Project is to encourage a sense of community in a diverse society and to work in partnership with groups and individuals to develop their potential.

  • promote diversity, cultural knowledge and awareness

Services

Our objectives are delivered through a range of services such as Legal Advice that deals with everyday complex issues.We have and education team that carry out various courses and progression route to employment. With this we have 3 Ofstead registered creche sites for access to free childcare. We run courses through the different sites and also have a community kitchen for food programmes.
